When it comes to decorating, millennials are charting their own course. "This is a generation with a well-developed sense of taste, that follows fashion and style, but also wants good looks at good prices," says marketing expert Ann Fishman, whose Generational Targeted Marketing has studied millennial women. She is the author of "Marketing to the Millennial Woman." That giant wooden spool as a coffee table and the milk-crate nightstand that used to populate starter apartments, in other words, just won't cut it.
